Tagore Hall
Tagore Hall stands not just as a building, but as a cultural memory etched into Ahmedabad’s collective consciousness. Designed by Lt B.V. Doshi Sir, the structure carries a quiet gravitas—where architecture, performance, and public life once converged. The opportunity to revive its long-neglected interiors became an act of stewardship: to restore relevance without disturbing its timeless spirit.

Concepts
The revival draws from the emotional depth of Tagore’s world, interpreting his philosophy through local art forms and the Navras, allowing spaces to express joy, contemplation, wonder, and introspection. Inside, sculptural elements inspired by Tagore’s own paintings translate his abstract expressions into tactile forms. On the façade, a stainless-steel mural reimagines Tagore’s face and signature in a contemporary, abstract language—an interplay of light, shadow, and reflection—marking the hall as a living canvas where legacy meets the present, and art continues to speak across generations.
